I have made the decision to shave my mullet with St. Baldrick’s and the Shave for the Brave March 7th, 2025 to support the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. My family lost my cousin Brooke in 2019 to Sarcoma and I found a young lady to support who is also battling that dirty old Sarcoma. I’ve had young people in my life that I’ve coached and taught be stricken with diagnoses and they’ve inspired me by showing amazing courage, perseverance, and positivity in their own battles. Cancer touches all of us at some point and it’s never awesome, but children with cancer seems excessively unfair. Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
