I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: One Hit Wonders

I’m excited to share that once again our local Raleigh recreation clubs are once again coming together for the annual 4-week volleyball tournament, The Growler, benefiting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Since 2011, we’ve raised over $1.1 million for pediatric cancer research. This event grows every year and last year we raised over $200,000. This year we are aiming to exceed our goal with your help!

Each year, we honor a local child as the Spirit of the Growler kid. This year it is Zeke Ramsey from Durham. There have been 14 kids so far—some in remission, some in treatment, and a few who have sadly passed away. I strive to meet each of these Honored Kids and their families each year on the final night of the event and it is always a deeply moving experience for me. I always walk away in tears. You can read more about Zeke here https://growlervolleyball.com/spirit-of-the-growler/2024-zeke-ramsey/

Did you know that every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide? Your support can make a huge difference. A simple $5 donation from each of my friends would easily help us surpass our goal this year.

Join me in supporting the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and making a real impact on childhood cancer research. Every dollar counts and brings us one step closer to helping kids survive and thrive.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
