Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?
Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.
I am a dad of a girl who battled cancer. Her name is Krista. She was a wonderful kid who was diagnosed with brain cancer (tumor) when she was 7 years old in 2003. Krista was a courageous fighter, who took on cancer with strength, poise, and determination. Her fight ended when she was 11 years old when she became an angel.
During the almost 4-year battle (radiation, chemo, hospital visits, needle pricks, medicine, losing her hair multiple times, and so many more things), she stayed in love with life, her family, the Lord Jesus, and her friends. Cancer may have taken her life, but her memory lives on. Krista changed the world for everyone who knew her.
A friend recently wrote and performed a beautiful song that was inspired by the stories he's heard. You can view that video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vzWGpVRvJ4 on YouTube or by searching for “Change the world Krista Wolfe”. Check it out!!
While we cannot save her, we can help other kids who are fighting that battle. So, we shave, we raise, and we keep on going day after day, hoping that a cure is found. If you can, please give generously, to give kids with cancer the long, healthy lives they deserve.
Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down.
Can you help? Thank you!
