I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

If you're reading this, thank you for getting this far. My name is Hunter. I am 17 and a senior in high school. When I was in preschool in Sicily I met a boy named Derick. Derick and I became fast friends and eventually both of our families moved to Spain. We did all the normal things kids do. We played a the beach. We had nerf gun battles. We swam, we played video games. Fast forward a couple of years. Derick was in Kindergarten when he started feeling sick. Shortly after that he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Derick fought hard for almost 2 years. He passed away when we were both 8 years old. A lot has happened since then and so many years have gone by. Derick should still be here. He should be driving, thinking about college, living life like a normal 17 year old. I vowed to continue Derick's battle. This is where you come in.

Childhood cancer isn't rare. But unless it touches someone you care about you might not know that. Research is extremely underfunded and that needs to change. I have been raising money for St. Baldrick's each year for 11 years now. I want to find a cure for childhood cancer. So other kids don't have to lose their best friends. Please help me by making a donation today in honor of Derick. I appreciate all of the support I have had over the last 10 years. I know we are making a difference.

Thank you so much for you time and your support. It means the world to myself and my family.
