Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
I have been a supporter of this cause for years through my friend, Mike Tucker and his St. Baldrick’s fundraising team, “Team Spider Monkey”, who have raised over $400,000 since 2008.
Last year, I stopped just donating and joined the team, shaving my head in solidarity with the kids who often lose their hair in their fight against childhood cancer.
This year, I'm shaving my head in memory of Maggie Brown (daughter of a co-worker) and Cooper O'Brien (friend of a friend here in Suwanee), and in honor of Naomi G (selected by St Baldricks - she's a 4 year old girl in Dunwoody currently in treatment for neuroblastoma.)
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease, and I don't want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
