☘️You will probably soon be wondering what happened to my hair so read this to find out and PLEASE donate to my cause! ☘️
☘️I decided that this year I’m going to do something a bit out of my comfort zone and join Team Heinrich in donating all of my hair and shaving my head to raise money for pediatric cancer.
☘️ Chris started this family tradition of supporting St. Baldrick’s before I met him, inspired my his mom who spent most of her career caring for and loving on kids with cancer and their families. In my opinion, Molly is a nursing legend. She made true life-long friendships with so many of her patients/families, which was even more apparent when we saw so many of them at her recent wake and funeral. She too joined Chris and his family and first shaved her head in 2014, 10 years ago! She made such a difference and I know that if I could ask her now what I should do, she would happily say SHAVE IT. So to honor Molly, I am going to do it!
☘️Also, and the MOST important reason for it is obviously that CANCER IS TRULY AWFUL! I just can’t even stand that kids go through it. I would give so much more than just my hair if it would help provide support in any way to those patients. I can’t even let myself be sad to say goodbye to my hair. Like Molly said “it’s just hair, it’s just hair, it will grow back.” Losing hair is just a fraction of the tragedy those kids endure and they don’t deserve a single bit of it.
☘️ So, if you would PLEASE PLEASE support my gesture and make a donation to ST. Baldrick’s, I would absolutely appreciate it. After all, it’s not really my bare scalp that makes a difference, it’s the money spent on finding a cure. The kids deserve ALL the help they can get. For Molly’s legacy and for the kids who need it most ☘️☘️☘️ thank you!
