I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.

Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.

This is my 7th time shaving my head for cures to these cancers.  Please consider donating, no donation is too small.  I do this to honor many family members that have been lost to cancer and for the many children everywhere suffering from and lost to these diseases.

I am also honoring my former Student Will H. who we lost to cancer almost two years ago at age 16.  Will was a great student and a funny kid who appreciated my strange sense of humor.  He also comes from a wonderful family that has supported my St. Baldrick's efforts all these years and started the Will Heidrich Foundation to continue to help others.  Will's brother, Ethan, whom I was honored to have as my student last year, and his mother wrote a book, "My Brother Has Cancer" which earns money to support the foundation.

Thank you all for your support!
