You never think that it will happen to you or your family until the day you hear the dreaded words. As a parent of a diagnosed child all you want to do is take this tremendous burden from them but unfortunately you can't. Our Family and friends rallied around us during the initial dark days following Christian's diagnosis and continue to be there for us. From the day Christian was diagnosed he told us "I can't control what has happened, but I will control how I live my life". Since that day he has been truly inspiring with his courage and attitude. After completing some initial treatments, he returned for his Senior year at college while undergoing Chemotherapy and made the Dean list for both of his Senior semesters and graduated with double Major in Business. We were in awe of his determination so when he came to us and said I want to give back and help children and raise awareness we were not surprised. This is why I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
