Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
Hello Family & Friends,
I quote from the song Simple Man "be a simple kind of man.
Oh, won't you do this for me son, if you can? Oh, yes, I will", so with that I say it's been 19 years ago when Cancer took our mom away from us and 2/20/2024 would have been her 80th birthday. we have also lost several other Family with cancer, with that being said, if you noticed from my new picture, I need a haircut. so, I have decided to shave my Head Bald for The St. Baldrick's Foundation they are a charity that raises funds for childhood cancer research through their signature head-shaving events, like the one I'm volunteering for.
Because kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, "shaves" for the St. Baldrick's Foundation show their support by shaving their heads voluntarily, and inspiring friends and family to donate funds.
The St. Baldrick's website has a lot of great information about the work they're doing to make research happen for kids with cancer. Go to StBaldricks.org and take a look!
I hope you'll join me so that together we can #ConquerKidsCancer!
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
