I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Individuals, Ladies, Gentlefriends, each and every one of you- it's that time of year where we're all thinking about spring- the days get a lot longer, my hair gets a lot shorter, and your wallet gets a lot lighter! That's right- it's St. Baldricks time!

Why do I shave my head? It's not just to disappoint my mother, (even though that brings me immense joy). I shave because you don't say no to cute kids with cancer. Bribing you to give up some cash to see me get my head shaved seems like a pretty small thing to do to earn much-needed research funds for children's cancer research.

I’m absolutely bribing you, too. Every donor who gives $25 or more will in turn get a handmade (by my hands) quilted ball ornament as my thanks.

Did you know that St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. As a hospice nurse, I know that Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
