After a whirlwind of a year in and out of children's hospitals and spending time on a children's cancer floor was a huge reminder of why I do what I do.  Meeting the mothers and fathers and seeing the children is beyond heartfelt words to describe.  They always had a hot cup of coffee and a ear to listen, but let's face it, unless there is funding the fighting chance lessens. 

A challenge among friends and co-workers 17 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, once again, I’m joining The O'brien Family and The Fundraiser for Danny Boy.  Please read their story and about the great work they do in memory of Danny.  

1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
