Hello everyone!
I am almost 11 years old. This age is pretty significant to my family this year because this is how old my mom's brother was when he lost his battle to cancer 23 years ago. At that time the type of cancer he had was very rare and treatment unknown. Because of events like St. Baldrick's there have been a lot of new research to help find better treatment plans for children diagnosed with the same type of cancer my uncle had.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. I may not have had the chance to meet my uncle but I feel like to I know him because of the stories I hear about his bravery, courage and strength to face this battle. Shaving my head and raising money is the least I can do to help. Can you help? Please consider donating today or even signing up to shave with me and thousands of others! Thank you so much!
