Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
I have chosen to honor Martin S. because he is living with the same type of cancer that took the life of my 12-year-old brother, Roy Rosario D'Agostino, Jr. on November 7, 1971. This form of cancer has a much-improved survival rate now than it did in 1971, thanks to the type of research your donation will help support.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
Just to make things more interesting, and in the hope of attracting more sponsors/participants, anyone who sponsors me for $15.00 will be allowed to autograph my bald head or face, either at the event (you can sign up to sponsor or donate at the event), or the next day in my residence city of Eatonton, Georgia. In exchange, I'll send you a picture of my head with your autograph emphasized, if you want it.
