This year marks my debut in the St. Baldrick's community, and I couldn't be more excited to participate in this cause. What, 25 years ago, began as a small challenge among friends has grown into the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. will not survive. Of those who do, over 96% of them have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time that they are 50. More children are lost to cancer in the United States than they are to any other disease—in fact, more than many other childhood diseases combined.
This is why I am shaving my head bald in order to fundraise for the St. Baldricks foundation. I am glad that I was quickly able to achieve my primary fundraising goal, but I am not stopping there. If stretch goals are reached, I'll extend my razored-shiny baldness for longer to raise more crucial funds for childhood cancer research.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support! If you're unsure how much to donate, the most common donation size so far has been $50, but even $10 helps fund research and treatment for kids' cancer. If you're unable to donate, share this page with others to spread the word!
