I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Lowellville

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive?

I love Saint Patrick's Day. The fun, the drinks, the colors, so when I seen this opportunity in 2020, it became something to add to the day of fun. Then I read about the kids that were fighting for their lives.

I told my wife, I need a kilt. She said, really?

I said yep let's go all out for these kids.

Then I raised a little bit of money then it became a competition to raise as much as possible.

Then, Covid became a thing. The money was coming in, the excitement was brewing, the kilt came in the mail, and they announced no live shaves. Well my Irish Scottish blood boiled. I decided to take it to the people. My closest friends showed up for the shanagins and they shaved my head. We won the Youngstown area event in downtown Lowellville telling Covid to go to %&@#.

We are back this year to raise as much as possible for the kids.

The fun of the day will be secondary because raising the funds, to help the kids, is what it is all about. It takes all of us to make things happen. Please consider reading about the kids on my page, then make your decision to help or not.

After you read about them, you will give your heart.
