I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

A challenge among friends 25 years ago has become the largest volunteer movement to Conquer Kids’ Cancer. This year, I’m joining thousands of others to shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
Sevan years ago I started shaving with St. Baldricks because I saw the passion that my father had for this event. Over the years of watching him shave his head and beard after raising thousands of dollars each year, I too know have this same passion. Even though I am not a scientist and cannot cure cancer on my own, I know by participating and raising money I am doing my part to end childhood cancer once and for all. So I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's once again to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive. For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50. I refuse to accept this reality, so I’ve decided to fundraise for lifesaving research to find cures and better treatments for kids. In doing so I am challenging myself with the goal of raising $1,500 this year. Now I need your support! Your donation can fund research to help kids survive and thrive. Even a $5 or $10 donation would make a huge impact. Thanks you.
