In 2019 I received the news that nobody ever wants to hear, I had been diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. As of August of 2022 I am Cancer free and looking to give back to the community that gave so much for me and my family.
This is actually not my first time shaving my head for the cause, when I was just a child in fifth grade, I decided to shave my head with some friends for St. Baldricks and the experience was truly something I have cherished since then. Now over a decade later, the cause means even more to me than I ever could have imagined.
I have not trimmed or cut my hair since the last time it had fallen out from my treatment back in January of 2020. I did not know that I would grow to love my hair being as long as it has become, but I think it is finally ready for a change. One of the many lessons I learned from my journey is that change does not have to be a bad thing, in fact it can be exciting. I often refer to cancer as the party that nobody wants an invite to, but once you are there you can truly see just how much beauty and love surrounds us all on a daily basis.
I ask of you to please donate to my cause to help fund research for childhood cancers, and I will gladly take the step with you by shaving my hair that symbolizes my love and adoration to all of those out their fighting their fights.
Everyone's fight looks different, but together with Love and Positivity, we will always win!
