Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?
I may not be shaving my head, but I am still cutting 4 inches off for childhood cancer. I normally don’t participate in this event, but this year I decided to do it for numerous reasons. On December 20th 2022, I lost my grandfather to multiple different cancers and it rocked my whole family’s world. He battled for 14 years and it was heartbreaking to watch. I also lost my poppop to Metastatic Carcinoma in August of 2012. My grandmother also battled Breast Cancer and luckily won the battle. Cancer is one of the most devastating diseases I’ve ever seen, but to see it in a child is a whole different level. That’s why I courageously decided to cut 4 inches off of my hair for childhood cancer.
Did you know, 1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. won’t survive? For those who do, more than 96% have severe or life-threatening conditions by the time they are 50.
Each shaved head, every dollar donated, creates a ripple effect of progress for kids with cancer.
Your gift will give kids and their families hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Together, let’s give these kids the lifetime they deserve. Thank you for your support!
