I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: TDC Group

Why am I shaving my head, and why should you care?

As a healthy adult with three healthy adult children, I feel compelled to advocate on behalf of some of our most vulnerable human beings.  Cancer impacts too many lives, and the indiscriminate way it invades defenseless members of families across the globe can lead anyone to feelings of despair.

Where does one find hope in the face of what I have just described?  Enter St. Baldrick's.  This volunteer driven organization has donated more than $340 million to cancer research over its 25 years of existence aimed exclusively as children with cancer.  Simply put, the more success they have through events like the one in which I will be participating, the greater their reach will be.

Your support of this organization means fewer families will be left in despair and that more families being filled with hope.  Hope that what their child has endured will be less burdensome on the next child with a similar diagnosis.  And hope that childhood cancer will one day be spoken of only in our history books.

Please join me in this fight against cancer.  Together we can and will make a difference.
