I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. This year I'm switching things up a bit. As friends and family know, I've grown quite accustomed to rocking a buzzcut, so I need to up the ante to get you all invested this year! So, instead of a traditional shave it all off, I'm pledging to shave my head into a tonsure! A tonsure is a traditional haircut worn by Catholic monks. In my case, I will be opting for the classic Roman tonsure which is a solid ring of hair with a bald center (think Friar Tuck). I am willing to wear this cut for up to two weeks, but I need your support to make it happen! For each $100 donation or pledge to be a new shavee, I will keep the cut one day longer. How long can we keep this cut going!? Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
