I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Finley’s Friends

What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child? At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research.

My wonderful sister Laura, our team leader, will be shaving her head again at the end of September to raise money for childhood cancer research. The hope is Finley will be well enough to be the barber.

During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants. Pediatric cancer only receives 4% of federal funding for cancer research! Children deserve so much more!

The ultimate goal of the fundraiser is that some day no other child or family will have to endure what Finley and our family has these past three and a half years. If you’re able to contribute any amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
