I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.

Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

My "head shaving" journey began in 2005! 2023 marks a huge shave milestone!! This year marks 15 years of shaving for a cure!

Some side effects of shaving include: humility, checking my vanity, and paying it forward. I am grateful for each day I wake up to spread more love and light in the world, and I want my legacy to be one of inspiration, motivation, kindness, and compassion for others.

I aspire to motivate individuals, like yourself, to get involved and enrich the lives of others through sharing your special gifts.

Children, such as Emily Ringham, will forever be my heroes! Emily shared her story of being diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 10 and how it changed her life. Her childhood was stolen from her, but she does not exude anything but positive energy. She is an incredible and inspiring young woman! Listen to her story, from her perspective: https://vimeo.com/89211247.

Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!

With gratitude, Shannon
