I shaved my head for the first time shortly after my neice, Finley began losing her hair with treatments. I kept my head shaved until her treatments stopped and her hair began to grow back. We grew our hair back together.
Finley is a fighter and since her diagnosis back in April 2020 that is what she's been. After surgery, chemo and proton therapy we were cautiously optimistic and for two years she had NED (no evidence of disease).
Unfortunately, cancer can be cruel and unpredictable. Despite all efforts, methods and treatments available and used; Finley's cancer has returned.
Finley is still her funny fiesty self. She is living and loving life the way she does and has. Medical measures have all been used and now it's about keeping her comfortable and her quality of life.
Allowing Finley to shave my head is a way I can support her, love her and create a lasting memory.
Please help me in supporting and loving Finley and all children and families that face the challenges and heartache of cancer.
Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.
Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.
Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
