I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

In 2016, a very special little girl named Carol Lynn, or CBug as her she’s known by many, came bouncing through the aisle of an event I was at, laughing and smiling as she ran up to pet Nanook. I knew from this moment that her spunk and zest for life was contagious. I was told CBug was battling a terrible disease. Carol Lynn was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in June 2015, when she was 1 years old. Cancer is a terrible thing that no child should have to endure and CBug fought with all her might before passing away on December 31, 2016, only a few months before her third birthday. It’s amazing how much you can learn from someone in only a few short months, but CBug taught me to never take a single day for granted and live life to the fullest. I will never understand why CBug was chosen to leave this world at such a young age, but I find comfort in knowing she’s smiling over us all now. I’ve chosen to participate in St. Baldrick to honor her – here’s to you, CBug!

I will not be shaving my head this year but I am asking for your support.

Thanks for your support!!!

We are still #CBUGSTRONG
