Next week Maddie will be participating in the St. Baldrick's event at her school. She be donating her ponytail to Locks of Love while also rasing money for St. Baldrick's to help fund childhood cancer research. For those of you that know Maddie personally, you probably know how attached she is to her long locks! She has never had a major cut and we are so proud of her for making the decision to let it go for two very important causes! Please consider supporting her in achieving her goal.
Locks of Love is a public, nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to what it refers to as “financially disadvantaged children” who have lost their natural hair through medical treatments.
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.
