I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?

Because in 2018 I shaved my head in solidarity with my then six year old daughter after her first chemo treatment. I didn’t let my hair start growing again until hers did, almost ten months later.

When she started getting regular haircuts again(almost a year and a half later), I decided that I could too, and the annual tradition of her shaving my head for Saint Baldrick’s began.

A lot of families never get to go back to “something like normal”. Now, thanks to the kind of research funded by charities like St. Baldrick’s, we’re two “everything looks like we would expect at this point after treatment“s (no such thing as “All clear”) away from remission!

I can’t overstate the importance of this cause, or how much your support means to families like mine. Thank you so much!
