It goes without saying, but it should still very much be said, that cancer is an inexpressibly horrible reality that so many have to deal with. I myself know too many people in my own life that have to carry that burden, and it breaks my heart so very much; the pain they themselves have to go through is simply inconceivable, and they are, without a doubt, some of the strongest people that I know.
All of that is to say that I am participating in this event because I want to see the world rid of this pain and heartbreak that affects so many. I want no one, especially no children, to ever have to go through cancer again.
At our event, we will be shaving our heads and putting our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research. Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.
Your gift will give kids hope by supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Cancer is one of the leading causes of death for our children. If you can help support research focused on eradicating such a horrid fate, it would be so very appreciated. Thank you! :)
