I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Mia's Militia

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives. This is my sixth year that I will be shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research on April 8, 2023. I’ll be shaving my head with other St. Baldrick’s participants from around the country to #GiveKidsALifetime. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Due to the underfunding, they use a lot of adult treatments and even at a higher dosage for they say that the children have stronger bodies. So, I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. My goal this year is to raise $750.00. Thank you all. Help me, Charles Jacobs (AKA Santa Charles), take care of the children. Each year has been special to raise money for childhood cancer but this year it is closer to my heart for my granddaughter, Philomena (Mia), age 9, was diagnosed with cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), in December 2019, when she was still 5 years old. She has undergone chemo and radiation treatments and is now in remission for 2 years. She is a fighter and I challenge all my friends and family to donate to help with this cause. The following link will take you to the page where you can click on the DONATE button and choose your method of payment. You can help anytime during the year by clicking on the link below. Not for me but for Mia and all the other children that are in treatment now. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much! Thank you for your help and support.
