I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

If you know me or have seen me around the neighborhood or office, you would likely notice that I have been growing my hair out for the past couple of years. Somewhere along the line, I got to thinking it would be cool to put the follicles to use - unfortunately due to my inability to grow much more beyond 8 inches and a lack of hair donations I tried to find the next best thing - enter St. Baldrick’s! On Sunday, March 26, my favorite hair stylist, Erica @ SalonLofts in Hinsdale, will shave my head in pursuit of giving back in someway to the St. Baldricks cause. While my baldness will (hopefully) be temporary, your donation will have a lasting effect on helping pursue more research and hopefully bring an end to childhood cancer! Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
