I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I’m shaving my head this year in honor of my grandma, Amy Desens. She passed away from leukemia on thanksgiving after just short of a year of treatment. It was hard on her but she fought every step of the way. She would joke about being bald and showed an unending kindness to me and my family despite her pain.

I have never known anyone to have as much tenacity and care for others. She has done a lot to make me the person I am today and I owe her much more than I could put into words.
