Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.
Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.
Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
Y’all win – NO BEARD THIS YEAR!
Dear Family and Friends,
Will you please help me raise money to fund childhood cancer research?
Cancer affects kids from all walks of life, whether they’re learning to walk or learning to drive, live in big cities or small towns, have brown eyes or blue eyes. It doesn’t discriminate based on ethnicity, gender, or socio-economic status. Kids with cancer deserve a lifetime and are the heart of the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The need to fund research to find cures for children's cancer doesn't take a break just because of COVID-19. Kids need to run and play with their peers and moms and dads need to think about the ordinary challenges of childhood!
If you are able, please consider a donation.
Tillie is 11 years off treatment!!!
Thank G-d, Healthy and Happy!
She’s 19, a freshman at university, and loving life on her own. Tillie recently returned from Israel and loved every minute. The group visited Save a Child’s Heart in Holon and as expected she was quite moved. Tillie is involved with Hillel and already elected to their board, leading services, and organizing events. I thought she was studying in the library!
Tillie's story began in 2005 when she was first diagnosed with leukemia. After fighting that fight, she relapsed in 2009 which brought on the hardcore chemo and brain radiation. Tillie is a two-time cancer survivor with the continued help from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital team. Many of you have been with us since the beginning. Thank you for helping us and St. Baldrick’s. Thank you for sticking with Tillie and our family!
Our 2023 Head Shave event will back in the garage. Tillie and Jared will again oversee the clippers. Sue will be ready with bandages (thankfully, none needed last year!)
Sadly, no beard to shave this year. You know I looked great in that beard!
If we can’t raise enough support this year, I’ll be forced to grow the beard for next year’s shave. Yay!!
Since 2005, St. Baldrick's has invested more than $325 million to support lifesaving research, making the St. Baldrick's Foundation the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Thank you for donating to St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Until a cure,
Larry and Sue, Tillie, and Jared
