I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Vernon Hills Police Department

Last year, I attended the event and was inspired to participate. I believe cancer has taken too many lives already, and it won't stop taking lives without your help. I've spent a year growing out my hair for the cause and have had to endure foreign circumstances like multiple offers for hair braiding in the Bahamas, constantly looking for hair ties, fighting with my mother over hairbrushes, and trying to find the right conditioner for my hair type. And, of course, there has been plenty of ridicule from my classmates and father.

While it's not even close to the suffering of families affected by childhood cancers, my efforts have got to be worth something! Please help me benefit this worthy cause.
