I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Two Bald Heads Are Better Than One

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Two Bald Heads Are Better Than One

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because with your donation “on my head,” together, we can save lives.

My wife, Regina, has been shaving her head since 2009 for St. Baldrick's. This year I'm joining her, and together we're Braving the Shave to fund childhood cancer research grants.

Most people don't know that childhood cancers aren't like adult cancers. Because we're fighting these cancers with our best guesses, we're not giving kids diagnosed with these diseases their best chance to survive. Too often, children who are treated for childhood cancer face a lifetime of side effects and complications from their treatment. I believe we can do better.

No hair, a cold head -- for me, those are small things to endure for the chance to find a cure for childhood cancers. I dream of a world where a diagnosis of cancer for a child doesn't mean long, tortuous treatments. I dream of a world where treating cancer is as easy as writing a prescription for a pill or a shot.

My bald head, your donation... we can make this happen.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
