I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Citrus Salon Martinez

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Citrus Salon Martinez

My annual head shave ritual started ten years ago after my young son was treated for brain cancer. He is now a healthy young adult studying cancer and cellular biology in Philadelphia. Since I have seen first hand the horrible effects of pediatric cancer, the least I can do is to bring some attention and raise some money every year for the much needed research funded by the St. Baldrick’s organization.

This year, my ‘shave’ is in support of another young adult who I met though the bicycle community who was diagnosed with cancer three weeks into her first year of college. Instead of attending classes, she spent the latter part of her teen years battling this horrible disease and continues dealing with the harsh effects of two and half years of treatment.

Please take a few minutes and look at the positive work being funded by St. Baldrick’s (https://www.stbaldricks.org/see-the-impact) and show your support for any of the numerous caring people who will attend the event in Downtown Martinez on March, 19th - https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/CitrusSalonShaveAThon/participants#content.
