Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?
A high school friend’s teenage daughter recently passed after a year long battle with colon cancer. Kids don’t get colon cancer, but she did. They told her the odds of her getting it were one in a million. She bravely told them to study her and learn everything they could so they could help others. One of her final requests was to make sure her tumors were retrieved for study upon her passing. Her insistence to have the experts research her specific cancer has inspired me to participate with St. Baldrick’s and help their research efforts.
I haven’t had a haircut since 2019. Everyone I see keeps commenting how long my hair has gotten. Now I know why I’ve been growing it. I’ll donate all these curls to make wigs for kids fighting cancer and shave the rest! With your donations, we can help fund children’s cancer research.
Research is hope for kids with cancer, but donations to find cures have been down since 2020.
Your gift will give kids hope, supporting the best research across the country, through the largest charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you!
