I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head again with St. Baldrick’s?  For almost 20 years, I worked as a chaplain in both pediatrics and hospice.  I took care of many children who had cancer and for whom the loss of hair was very difficult on top of all of the surgeries, chemo, radiation, and other treatments which affected them not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.  If raising money for simply shaving my head can raise money to eradicate children’ cancer, I will shave my head repeatedly.  By the time I met the child, they were preparing for death.  Let’s change this, and make children’s cancer at minimum an illness that can be healed and at best non-existent.  Let’s save those lives!

Help me simply by sponsoring me - and if you would like to brave the shave, then join me!  After all, it does grow back - this will be my
