I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?

Because I am grateful that I GET to do this. Many kids are not as fortunate. I am shaving my head on March 7th to not only raise funds for childhood cancer research but to also spread awareness of childhood cancer. Shaving my head will also show kids who lost their hair during treatment that I support them and it will bring hope to their families and friends.

Cancer kills more kids than any other disease but, research can change that. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. The pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. So I plan to shave my head to help.

My hair is part of my identity, but I am willing to shave it if you are willing to contribute. If I can raise $2,000 I will donate my locks to a charity and shave my head. Can you help? Any amount will get me closer to my goal.

As the date approaches, I'll be sure to share before, during and after photos with you.

Thank you,

Annie
