I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Waystone in support of Claire Loebell

My head shave will be to honor one of best friend’s, Claire Loebell who was diagnosed with stage 2, triple negative breast cancer early June. This is a very rare type of breast cancer and harder to treat as hormone treatments are ineffective because these cancers are negative for hormone receptors. Claire began her 24-week chemo and immunotherapy journey 9 weeks ago.

For those who know Claire is to understand her… she faced her journey head on, game face ready and with an endless supply of energy, love and commitment! Claire has three amazing kiddos and chose to raise funds for St Baldrick’s for her head shave. No chemo treatment is easy or pleasant – far from it and the thought of children having to endure the pain and suffering spurred Claire on to raise over USD$10,000 and counting!

I am truly humbled by Claire and her approach to her journey. No amount of words can describe my love and adoration for her. She is one of my favourite humans! It will therefore be my honor and privilege to join her, Sam and hopefully plenty of my colleagues in raising even more donations for this amazing charity!
