I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team New Research 11

The number one reason I raise money and shave my head for St. Baldrick's is for my students at Kailua Intermediate.

This time is an important time for them because they're starting to be more adventurous and aware of the world around them, which helps them figure out their identity. I see this growth every year once they enter my classroom in August and leave in May.

My hope is that I'm able to influence them in their short time with me. To encourage them to go out and help others because there are so many of us out there trying to make the world a better place and that it is cool to join us in whatever way you can.
