Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s?
Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
Also, because my 10 year old daughter is doing this. I wanted to show my support to her by doing it along side her. The decision was effortless for her. It took some time for me. What she said, “Mom, my hair will grow back, theirs may not,” (because we are also donating our hair to make wigs for cancer patients) kept running through my head. We can learn a lot from our children. Their young hearts are still pure and innocent. My daughter taught ME the lesson this time. Her selflessness was contagious. She even inspired a friend to do it also. Her friend will be shaving his head at the same event. How cool is that?? I hope it will be caught by you as well. I know many donated to her. I truly appreciate that. If you can spare a few more dollars, or at least share my link, I would be very grateful ❤️
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
