I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ari's Team

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Ari's Team

My 3 year old grandson, Ari, was diagnosed with Leukemia recently. One of the many side effects of his cancer treatment is that he will lose all of his hair. I decided to shave my head in solidarity with Ari, as did my brother, Jeff Ostomel. Soon Ari, Jeff and I will have identical bald heads, and even though he is only 3, we hope it helps him feel less alone.

Shaving our heads in support of Ari is also an opportunity to raise funds for St.Baldrick's, a nonprofit that exists to fight childhood cancer. If you aren't yet familiar with what St.Baldrick's does, they support more childhood cancer research grants than any other charity, investing in the most promising research, no matter where it happens. By donating to my campaign, you can be part of that too.

Though the prognosis for Ari's recovery from Leukemia ("B Cell ALL" is the specific type) is very positive, we recognize that this is only because we are benefiting from years of research that others supported. Please donate today, and importantly, share the campaign with your network.

And then check back on March 19th for my "after the shave" photo to have a good laugh and feel great because you helped make a difference for kids everywhere fighting cancer.

Thank you so much,

Ron
