Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
I had previously done the St. Baldrick's fundraiser with Bergen Catholic over 4 years ago and I wanted to participate again, hopefully making this a yearly tradition. I believe strongly in the cause to help childhood cancer and I know that every donation counts. I am fundraising in honor of the many children and their families that feel hopeless and I hope to be a part of the turn around.
I also do this in honor of a fellow classmate of mine, Kyle Egan. He was not only my classmate but also teammate on the cross country and track team and was truly one of the kindest spirits I have ever encountered. Kyle was always quick with a joke and a smile, and was as brave as they come.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
