YEP, I'M SHAVING MY HEAD... AGAIN!!!

I first shaved my head in 2016 in support of our pediatric oncology patients and when were "in the clear" with Natalie's ovarian tumor resection. As many of you know, my daughter lost an ovary and kidney function in one kidney after having major surgery for what turned out to be a benign tumor. While Natalie was fortunate, many of our kiddos have not been so lucky. We've lost some bright stars since then and in the Children's Surgery Center we continue to grieve their passing and celebrate their lives.

This year I want to honor all our kiddos and their families who continue to fight childhood cancer. I also want to honor my dear friend Heather Sims, who is retiring in a few months but has given selflessly of herself for many years to our unique patient population. She talked me into the first shave event, and I have dug my heals in for the subsequent events that she's lead... but I can dig no more. CHEERS to your retirement Heather... LET'S DO THIS!!! Let's be beautiful & bald together again!!!
