Well folks, it seems that 'next year' has finally arrived.
The girls have always wanted me to do the St Baldrick's event and I would always tell them, 'next year'.
So here we are.
If you have the opportunity to donate, I would appreciate it immensely. I have 2 stretch goals as incentive, so every donation is important to help fight childhood cancers. (Plus I'm currently in 2nd place on my team and I would really really love to be the top donor getter, my first time around).
Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? Because your donation “on my head” will actually save lives.
Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures.
Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
As an added incentive to donate, not only am I shaving my head but I have added 2 stretch goals.
The first occurs at $500 in donations. I will wear a t-shirt with all my donors names on it. Top donor gets featured on the front.
Should my donations reach $1050, three times my initial goal, the TOP 5 DONORS will be entered into a drawing. Winner gets a BBQ package from me. We'll work the details out, but it will certainly be worth it.
