I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

My family has been involved with fundraising for St. Baldrick’s for over 10 years now; however, this year carries a special significance. I am shaving my head this year to honor one of my childhood friends. Graham DiMatteo was born in 2006 and lost his battle with adrenal cortical cancer on February 20th, 2022. As a kid, I went on camping trips with his family, was part of the same family playgroup, and took summer classes with his older brother at our local community college. The first time I met him, I remember immediately hitting it off because we are both natural redheads and we thought that was the coolest thing ever! He loved soccer, fishing, hiking, and any other outdoor adventure. This past year, he was able to travel to Hawaii and Alaska with his family before he passed. Those that know him best would say that his smile lit up the sky.

I greatly appreciate all of your support in whatever way you are able; whether it be donating or simply sharing this page with your friends and loved ones :)
