What could possibly be more important than saving the life of a child?
At our event, some folks will shave their heads – and others like me will keep the hair we have and put our hearts into supporting childhood cancer research. I will however, be donating my hair so it can be made into wigs. I’ve been growing my hair out for a little over year now! Ever since I became a Pediatric Oncology Nurse I knew I wanted to give back to the kids that deserve the world and for those that have gained their wings. These are tough times yet they fight so strong. Seeing them and their families go through a cancer diagnosis is a constant reminder why more research needs to be done for better childhood cancer treatments.
During the pandemic, donations have been down sharply, which is a big deal since the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is the largest non-government supporter of childhood cancer research grants.
I want to make sure kids know we care. I want more research to save lives. Please support me with a donation. Thank you!
