I’ve wanted to do the St. Baldricks event since I was in 2nd grade. My 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Stieb did the St. Baldricks event, and she has inspired me to do the same. I have donated my hair 3 times before, but I have never gone bald. So this time I will be donating my hair and then going bald. This event means a lot to me. It hurts me to know there are children out there being affected by cancer, and I know their family and friends hurt too. And just because I haven’t known any children personally effected by cancer, doesn’t mean that it isn’t happening. I can’t just wake up every morning and do nothing about this. So when I found out I could raise money to go towards childhood cancer I knew I was going to do it. This means so much to me, so if you or anyone you know would be willing to donate, that would be more than helpful. And to all the children out there who have cancer, you guys are troopers. You guys are so strong and brave, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
