I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

For the past 25 years, Valentine’s Day has represented something special to me. It’s the day I celebrate being cancer free. Throughout my experience as a patient, survivor, advocate, and professional working with childhood and young adult cancer patients, I have had the opportunity to know, love, and lose some amazing people and families.

While tremendous strides have been made over the past 25 years since I was treated, cancer still kills more children than any other disease. With research, we can continue to slow the progress and cure childhood cancer. The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the availability of funding and donations for pediatric cancer research.

As a result, I have decided to set a goal of raising $2500 for St. Baldrick’s, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants. Please help me honor all of the children who have been diagnosed over the past 25 years and help prevent those who face cancer in the future!

Thank you!
