I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Why am I shaving my head with St. Baldrick’s? I'm so proud of this amazing Emmaus High School tradition and I want to do all I can to support it this year! I’ve never shaved my head before, so the prospect of it is a little bit scary. But when I think about all the fighters who inspired me to do this in the first place - amazing young people like Jillian Sayre, Sam Mackaravitz, Jack Ohl, and Jillian Sassy Massey - to name just a few - I think about their incredible bravery and it makes my temporary bald head a small sacrifice in comparison. If I can help raise money and awareness, and maybe inspire others to do the same, I can be a part of this effort, creating hope and optimism that a cure can be found. I hope you’ll consider supporting this cause by donating, coming out to support us on shave day, and maybe even joining us to Shave for the Brave!! Kids with cancer need our support now more than ever. St. Baldrick’s is the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, and the pandemic has slashed donations, slowing down the progress to find cures. Cancer kills more of our kids than any other disease. Research can change that, and I don’t want to let these kids down. Can you help? Thank you so much!
