I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone,

This is my 9th year volunteering at the annual St. Baldrick’s “Shave It Off!” event co-sponsored by Case Western Reserve University and UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital. Our event has raised more than $733k for childhood cancer research in the past nine years. I am passionate about this cause, and I know we will have another fun and memorable event.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation head-shaving event has become an annual Spring ritual. On March 5, 2022, many people will shave their heads in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! At our virtual event in March 2021, we had over 87 people shave their heads, raising $125,848!

Perhaps consider donating $1 or $2 for each year of your life-to-date. It’s a simple reminder that many of our patients never get to see their 1st or 10th birthday! You can also join us as a participant to shave your head or raise funds and awareness with your own fundraising page!
